Details
General:
Please include an additional 15% of all items to be hand-addressed. This will ensure that you receive a beautiful end product from me. Most stationery stores include extra envelopes for free, but you must ask for them.
I use black, permanent, waterproof ink for all projects unless otherwise stated.
Please note that I will not make any etiquette or grammatical changes to your address/name list. It is your list and in your choice of style, and I will scribe your project as dictated by your address list. Realize that there may be instances when an additional line must be used in order to accommodate a lengthy name or address.
Address/Name List:
Please use the following
two-column, typewritten format - 12 points or larger, Arial or
Times Roman - for your address list. Please email your list to me as a
Word document, or you may print it and mail it to me. Handwritten or typewritten
ALL CAPS lists are not accepted.
Example of typewritten address list:
| Outer: | Inner: |
| Mr.
and Mrs. Jonathan Doe 12345 Street Name Suite 305 City, State 67890 |
Mr. & Mrs.
Doe |
Helpful Tips:
|
Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Doe |
Use formal names, not nicknames (not Mr. & Mrs. Jon Doe). Spell out "and". Do not use "&". (exception: inner envelope). Do not abbreviate. If the name
is long, it may require an additional line. |
| 12345 Street Name | Spell out "Street", "Road", "Avenue", "Way", "Circle", "Lane", "Crossing" and "Boulevard". Do not abbreviate. |
| Suite 305 | Spell out "Suite", "Apartment", "Unit" or "Room" preceding the number. *This is a separate line from the street address. Do not abbreviate. |
| City, State 67890 | Spell out the entire name of the city and state. Do not abbreviate. |
There are many online
resources regarding stationery etiquette. Try Crane's
Online Wedding Blue Book for addressing envelopes.
